INBA Brisbane Physique Titles – 26 May 2013

What a fantastic show and a great experience! With over 300 individual competitors and thousands of spectators the auditorium was electric!

We arrived about midday and set up camp backstage outside in the sun. As per usual INBA Qld President, Jason Woodforth and his crew had the show running 30mins ahead of schedule. Constant updates from the INBA Qld backstage crew kept us all in the loop and greatly assisted our preparations.

I was first up in the Masters 40-49 division. In a very high quality line up I was fortunate enough to be placed 5th (top 5 received trophies).

In the carparkNext up from our group was big Willie Scanlan in Novice Class 1. Willie was huge and ripped with enormous legs and arms. In the toughest Season A INBA show in Australia Willie placed 3rd! Great work mate – you deserved it!

After a change of colour with my posing trunks I was up again in the Open Class 1 where I came 4th. Once again I was extremely happy with this. I was aiming for one top 5 placing this weekend and ended up with two!

Willie was up again with the “Big Dog” Anthony Da Silva in Open Men’s Class 4. Anthony was looking huge and ripped as always – they both had great vascularity too. In another very high quality line up Anthony placed 3rd and Willie placed 6th. Congratulations to both of these guys!

The overall experience of this show was great. The INBA Qld crew did a fantastic job as did INBA Events Director, Ron Ziemiecki providing a play by play pictorial on Facebook.
Special mention must go to the judges. These people volunteer their whole day (and no doubt a few extra days either side of the show) to sit there and judge over 300 physiques across multiple divisions.

Now to prepare for INBA City Nationals June 2 at Castle Hill RSL.
I can’t wait – bring it on!
